Recipe: Elderflower & Apple Mocktail
A refreshing mocktail fit for a celebration or wedding, that means even the drivers won’t feel like they’re missing out!
Cocktail Recipe: Lavender Grapefruit Mimosa
This deliciously floral cocktail makes the perfect June wedding welcome drink, embracing the season and the kicking off the celebrations.
Cocktail Recipe: Fig & Fizz
A classy little coupe number, this cocktail is just perfect for any autumn wedding. Made with homemade fig syrup, it’s sweet and delicious yet light and refreshing all at the same time. This cocktail would make an elegant and impressive welcome drink or alternative toast drink.
Cocktail Recipe: Soho Sling
An absolute classic, we made the Soho sling with a great local gin - Salcombe Gin - for a styled shoot at Brickhouse Vineyard, and garnished with thinly sliced apple and sprigs of thyme. The Soho Sling makes a great cocktail for a wedding, be that a refreshing welcome drink, a stylish alternative toast drink, or a signature cocktail for a couple who love gin.
Festive Cocktail Recipe - Cranberry Orange Christmas Cocktail
This one, the Cranberry Orange Christmas Cocktail, is a bit of a show stopper to look at, and a seriously easy sipper! If you’re looking for something with a bit of a stronger punch, you might like the Marmalade Martini, but this one is a refreshing, light cocktail…
Festive Cocktail Recipe - Blood Orange Spritz
A festive spritz, what more could anyone need to kick off the celebrations at Christmas?
This cocktail is fairly light to drink considering the volume of alcohol, and so a great, refreshing drink to get any party started.
Festive Cocktail Recipe - Crème Brûlée
Ok, woah - Crème Brûlée lovers, this one’s for you!
This dessert cocktail is pretty flipping special, and I had the perfect ingredient chilling in the fridge – advocaat!
I know I know, you hear advocaat and you immediately think we’ve travelled back several decades in time, but I think advocaat is a seriously underrated superstar.
Festive Cocktail Recipe - A Classic Mudslide
The Mudslide is a classic, creamy crowd-pleaser that you really can’t go wrong with, and technically speaking it isn’t a Christmas cocktail, but I associate it with Christmas because it’s the one time of the year when we all give ourselves a total hall pass on calorie counting, and this is a cocktail that you do not want to count the calories on!
Festive Cocktail Recipe - Merry Marmalade Daiquiri
This cocktail would make a great welcome drink for a festive event or wedding, or a refreshing mid-afternoon pick-me-up on Christmas day, to reinvigorate everyone after the post-lunch snooze.
This cocktail is also extremely easy to make, so perfect for when you’re entertaining and want something quick and simple.
Festive Cocktail - A Christmas Cake in a Glass: The Simnel Sour
A delicious festive cocktail for all to enjoy. When we originally heard about the simnel sour cocktail, I had to try it out immediately. That was at Easter, and I absolutely LOVED it, so I have been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to shake up a few more of these again, and now that Christmas is here, that time was this weekend!
Festive Cocktail Recipe - Indulgent Chocolate Martini
Look no further chocolate lovers, you are going to LOVE this one. This cocktail was a 10/10 with all 4 of our taste testers, and although at this moment it’s only 11am, writing this article and reliving this cocktail is making me want to go and make one, right now…
Recipe: Blood Orange Autumn Sangria
Sangria typically reminds us of summertime in Spain. For Nick and I, it reminds us very specifically of a delicious dinner in a locally ran restaurant situated down a side street of Barcelona, one hot evening in July 2012.
When we discovered ‘autumn sangria’ was a thing, therefore, we were quite dubious of whether it would work.
Cocktail Recipe: Plum & Thyme Autumn Fizz
Autumnal and celebratory, this glass of fall fizz looks as special as it tastes. For those who like to add a little something to their fizz, I think this cocktail would make a perfect autumn alternative to a mimosa.
The flavours are delicate, not overpowering, and if you’ve got a cocktail stick to hand at the end then plum slices are yummy too!
Cocktail Recipe: Blackberry Honey Bourbon Smash
This recipe has whiskey in it, but trust me, even if you aren’t a whiskey drinker (I am not!), if you like blackberry and honey flavours, then you will still love this cocktail! If you are a whiskey drinker, then you may prefer this cocktail with a standard whiskey rather than honey flavoured one, it will give it more of a whiskey bite and be slightly less sweet.
I would recommend making a larger batch of the blackberry honey syrup because trust me you’ll want more than one of these! Just multiply the syrup recipe to make more.
Cocktail Recipe: The Charlie Chaplin
If you’ve seen our other autumn cocktail recipes, then you’ll know I said how addicted I am to the blackberry honey bourbon smash, but, this cocktail may possibly even trump that one.
I love a cosmo, and I think there is something really comso-esque about this one, but with an autumn, sloe gin twist, so if you love a cosmo too, then I think you’re going to like this one as much as me!
4 Autumn Cocktail Recipes
It’s that time of year again, crunchy golden leaves, spectacular orange sky sunsets, fresh morning air, cosy evenings and a turning point for flavours, where seasonal favourites start to fill our dinner tables and our glasses.
We are massively inspired by the nature around us, what’s in season and how we can incorporate that into our drinks. From picking blackberries from our field hedgerows to filling baskets with fresh apples and plums, there is something so satisfying about the harvest season.
Cocktail Recipe: Rhubarb & Gin-ger Refresher
This rhubarb gin cocktail has some Moscow Mule vibes with its ginger, lime, and mint, but the rhubarb gin gives it a special twist, so if you like a Moscow Mule, and you love anything rhubarb flavoured (like me), you’re going to love this one!
Recipe: Rhubarb Gin Fizz Cocktail
Rhubarb: Goood.
Gin: Goood.
Fizz: Gooooood.
I’m not sure this one really needs any introduction, the name says it all. Delicious sweet and fizzy, this cocktail is truly scrumptious. It also makes a fantastic wedding welcome drink on a warm summer’s day.
Cocktail Recipe: Apple Gin Spritz
Summer and early Autumn are all about sipping light, refreshing drinks outside in the early evening sunshine, and this Apple Gin Spritz is perfect for just that.
This cocktail is easy drinking and deliciously sweet but with the cut-through from the apple and lemon to balance it out. We’ve recommended 25ml of gin but you could go 50ml if you prefer something stronger, and you can also customise yours with the choice of either Prosecco or tonic to top up with.
Delicious, Boozy, Indulgent Iced Coffee Recipe
Let’s face it, we’re in the UK, and so despite all of our combined wishing and hoping, many of our ‘summer’ days happen to be rainy. Despite this, in between the rain showers, we do also get to enjoy some sunny, and actually rather hot, days.
On these days of glorious sunshine, it is our mission and duty to soak up every single second and enjoy them as wholly as possible, and what better way to add to the joy of a sunny summer’s day than with a delicious, and slightly indulgent iced coffee?
