Cocktail Recipe: Fig & Fizz
The Fig & Fizz Autumn Cocktail
INGREDIENTS
25ml Fig Syrup (ingredients and recipe below)
25ml Lemon Juice
50ml Cloudy apple cider
50ml Fizz of choice
Garnish – Slice of fig and sprig of fresh thyme
FIG SYRUP INGREDIENTS
2 fresh figs, sliced
3 sprigs of fresh thyme
100ml water
100ml honey
RECIPE
Make the Fig Syrup – add the syrup ingredients to a pan and allow to simmer for around 10 minutes, stirring regularly and squashing the figs. Remove from heat and allow to cool, then strain and store ready for use. (This will make enough for a few drinks)
In a coupe glass, add 25ml of Fig syrup and 25ml of lemon juice and lightly stir.
Top with 50ml of cloudy cider and 50ml of sparkling wine of choice.
Garnish with a slice of fresh fig and a sprig of thyme and serve.
