Festive Cocktail Recipe - A Classic Mudslide

The Mudslide is a classic, creamy crowd-pleaser that you really can’t go wrong with, and technically speaking it isn’t a Christmas cocktail, but I associate it with Christmas because it’s the one time of the year when we all give ourselves a total hall pass on calorie counting, and this is a cocktail that you do not want to count the calories on!
That said, this cocktail is a great dessert alternative, or even post-dessert cocktail, if you have the room, and can be enjoyed all year round, in fact, I thoroughly recommend it.
When we have these at Christmas, I like to serve these (or a milkshake version – blitzed with ice cream) toward the end of a movie evening. Everyone else is in the lounge, cozy, I sneak out, quickly prepare a tray of these and re-enter the lounge to a sofa full of very happy faces. We all sit and enjoy the rest of the movie sipping on one of these delicious, decadent, indulgent cocktails.
Classic Mudslide Cocktail Recipe
Serves: 1
INGREDIENTS
25ml Baileys
25ml Coffee Liqueur
25ml Vodka
40ml Double Cream
Chocolate to grate on top
Ice
INSTRUCTIONS
Put the baileys, coffee liqueur, vodka, double cream and a handful of ice into a cocktail shaker.
Shake well until icy cold (10-15 seconds)
Strain into a coupe, garnish with finely grated chocolate and serve.
